Adalind finally made her way back to Portland... sort of. Elizabeth finally figured out how to cure Nick but Nick won't like the final ingredient step. On the other hand, Nick, Hank, and Trubel face a foe that even a Grimm couldn't overpower. Read on for the latest 'Grimm' season 4 recap!
First of all, Elizabeth finally figured out the spell Adalind used to take Nick's powers away. The problem is, it's complicated. Rosalee and Monroe leave her at the spice shop overnight. When they come back the next morning, however, they find Adalind waiting for them instead.
It's not really Adalind though, but Elizabeth... with Adalind's face, which means she was successful in recreating the spell. Reversing it, on the other hand, is another matter all together.
They need one last crucial ingredient and it looks like Nick won't like what - or who - it would be. We still don't know what Juliette's role is in all of this but from Elizabeth's somewhat morbid warning, the whole ordeal won't be easy.
Elizabeth throws an off-hand comment about reversing the spell needing a lot of time. They may not have the luxury of time, however, since Adalind found herself in a pickle back in Vienna.
Adalind, in her desperation to find her daughter, accidentally awakens eerie faces on the castle walls. They start to cry, drowning the Hexenbiest in their tears. Is this the ordeal that Claire Coffee (who plays Adalind) claims haters of the traitorous woman will rejoice over?
What is more worrying, however, is the possible effect of Adalind's trials to Nick who viewers discovered shared a "magical, horrible" connection to the woman in past episodes. 'Grimm' season 4 recaps will talk about this connection in the next weeks.
Meanwhile, the Wesen-fighting trio - Nick, Hank, and Trubel - face a thing that they have never encountered before. After investigating a body covered in mud, they come face to face with a Golem.
In Jewish fokelore, a Golem is made of clay and is raised to defend those who need protection. This particular creature, however, took its guardian angel role too far. Even Nick and Trubel couldn't take it down. The Golem eventually eliminates its own self after being seen as a threat by the very person it was protecting.
It was an action-packed episode but the same question still remains: when will Nick get his powers back?
