Fans can't wait for "Community" season 6!
New reports suggest that two new characters will be introduced in episode 2, and they are related to a current cast member.
Hypable reported, "Community has cast Martin Mull and Lesley Ann Warren as Britta Perry’s parents. If Britta’s the worst, what does that make her folks?"
"EW revealed that the show has cast Martin Mull and Lesley Ann Warren as George and Deb Perry to appear in the second episode of the season (the same episode to be directed by Jim Rash and Nat Faxon)."
Fans were prreviously disheartened by the news of some notable characters leaving the comedy. Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, and just recently, Yvette Nicole Brown have confirmed their departure from the show.
According to Screen Crush, "Apart from its miraculous Yahoo Screen renewal, 'Community' season 6 has had fans on edge with potential cast departures to follow Donald Glover and Chevy Chase. Now, following availability concerns with CBS, Yvette Nicole Brown has been confirmed to depart 'Community' season 6 before shooting, albeit for unexpected reasons."
"Elsewhere, we know of 'Community' season 6 that creator Dan Harmon and executive producer Chris McKenna will remain at the helm, while cast members Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Danny Pudi, and Ken Jeong have all signed on to return."
Meanwhile, filming has already began for "Community" season 6. If all goes well, fans can expect to watch new episodes on Yahoo Screen early next year.
"Yeah cameras will be rolling on November 17, and we're going to start with writers September 8. So yeah, I don't know what Yahoo plans to do with what we deliver to them on what schedule - that's up to them - but it would seem to me that we will start to see a new season of Community sometime in the new year," show creator Dan Harmon told Yahoo.
