Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl has some strong opinions when it comes to fellow artists Katy Perry, Lorde and pop music in general.

The doting father admitted that his children try to make him listen to Perry's songs, according to NME.

"The worst thing my children impose on me is Katy Perry's album. Her music is a real test in terms of loyalty towards your kids. But at the same time I can still make them listen to good stuff. I got my eldest two, Harper and Violet, a turntable and The Beatles box set. So they listen to 'Magic Mystery Tour' and the White Album," he shared.

Grohl, who revealed that Katy's songs don't necessarily make him feel happy, has very different thoughts about "Royals" singer, Lorde, Beauty World News reported.

"When I heard Lorde's 'Royals' in the middle of all of these other songs, I thought, 'Thank God! Someone's singing something that actually has a little bit of something,'" Grohl said.

Meanwhile, Grohl also shared his take on the current state of pop music. "It's fun to listen to, to turn up in your car when you're in traffic, but there's no substance at all. It's devoid of any meaning. I'm not just saying that as a 45-year-old rock musician, I'm saying that as a human being. If the Number One song is about your butt, that's your problem."

To pay homage to the hit TV series "Sonic Highways," Foo Fighters will go on the road from the summer into the fall of next year, kicking off with a show in Washington D.C. on July 4, Rolling Stone noted.

The band's last show will take place on October 7, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tickets will start to go on pre-sale on December 1 and will be available for purchase on December 4 and 5.
