To much dismay, Chris Pratt has lost the title of People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" to none other than Chris Hemsworth. Although the "Thor" star was a worthy candidate, fans could not wrap their head around why America's newest sweetheart hunk didn't nab the title. Still, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star took his loss in stride.
Chris Hemsworth was named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" this year, as announced by Jimmy Kimmel on his late-night talk show days ago and the issue hits stands today.
"The Avengers" star was a surprise win for many, as the vast majority of fans and media outlets predicted Chris Pratt would easily take the prize due to his inspiring transformation into a muscular stud and his starring in the highest-grossing movie of the year. Still, Peter Quill A.K.A. Andy Dwyer didn't seem to be bothered by the loss. According to Just Jared, Pratt was seen looking happy as a clam as he went about his day normally after hearing the news. "Chris Pratt gives the thumbs up after stopping by a mechanic to get his truck looked at on Thursday (November 20) in Hollywood. The 35-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy actor was not named Sexiest Man Alive for 2014 and his fans were not happy with the choice to go with a fellow Marvel man Chris Hemsworth. Chris P. is still in the issue, however, and the full spread can be seen on newsstands tomorrow!" explains Just Jared.
Despite his nonchalant attitude, Pratt's fans are none too pleased and continue to voice their complaints via Twitter.
There's always next year. Plus, Chris Pratt definitely doesn't need the "Sexiest Man Alive" title or the People magazine cover, because he has plenty to be proud of this year. Plus, he's covering GQ's Men of the Year issue, so take that Chris Hemsworth!
