New reports suggest that the "Uncharted 4" release date for PS4 could be finally revealed at the PlayStation Experience event at Las Vegas on December 6-7.
The event as officially described on the PlayStaion website is a "massive two-day community event dedicated to the people who bring PlayStation to life, our fans. At PlayStation Experience you will have access to over 400,000 square feet of the best PlayStation games across multiple platforms, panels and keynotes lead by the industry’s most regarded development team, contests, signings, giveaways, merchandise, memorabilia and much more."
"With Naughty Dog attending the PlayStation Experience event, hopefully we’ll learn more about Uncharted 4 then," Playstationlifestyle.net noted.
Meanwhile, Sony Computer Entertainment Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Michael Ephraim played coy when asked about "Uncharted" release date for PS4.
"We don’t know, that’s the honest answer. We’re very excited about it and I think that title will be massive. It’s a very popular franchise; in fact it’s our number one first-party franchise," he told Stevivor.
“Of course, Uncharted will be the highlight of the year for us though.”
Rumors have been circulating that the "Uncharted 4" release date for PS4 will most likely be in the summer of 2015. However, neither official confirmation nor has an exact launch date been mentioned.
Naughty Dog and Sony meanwhile, keep their mouths shut for any rumors or hints for the upcoming Uncharted game and fans have nothing to do but keep on speculating for what they want to see and play on the upcoming game.
In an interview given by Naughty Dog Co-President Christophe Balestra, he dished on the improvements his team aimed for, taking into consideration their learnings from "The Last of Us: Remastered."
"It's like getting a new toy. We're very excited about the possibilities. After several years working on the same machine you kind of just run out [of steam] and you feel like you need something new just to be able to express yourself and push it to the next level. So I think PS4 came at the right time for us - it's definitely opening lots of doors to us that we didn't have before."
"Of course, technically the games we're going to be making are going to look better, but it's going to help the experience that we're trying to deliver as well. Everyone is extremely excited right now because we get to do all the new things we couldn't do before. We showed some of it at E3 just a couple months ago, and there will be more to come. It's a good machine, and we're extremely happy with it."
