'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date Set For 2016! Prequel: 'No Regrets' To Premiere On December 9 In Japan! AOT 'Crimson Bow and Arrow' Hit Theaters On November 22, 2014!

"Attack On Titan" season 2 release date remained a mystery for so long as the creator Hajime Isayama and its production didn't give a hint about the development of the season 2. However, according to Comic Book latest news about AOT, second season will air in 2016.

The publication got this news during a press conference of the first AOT animated film, "Crimson Bow and Arrow." During the conference, it was also announced the release date of second part of the film "Wings of Freedom," which is slated on June 27, 2015.

Based on the report of IDigital Times, the AOT first season covered eight and a half volumes. According to Christian Post, if Wit Studios will to the same process, they would have more than enough material for the upcoming season and the next. Furthermore, there will be more room for a third one, that's why some news websites bet that the release date of that one will be in a 2018.

CT also note in their article that Hajime Isayama has yet to corroborate and currently planning to work on 20 volumes instead of 16. Furthermore, the 14th volume (manga series) is said to be slated for a U.S. rollout as early as Nov. 14.

With that, many fans of AOT were predicting that "Attack On Titan" season 2 release date will fall in mid-2015.

Even though "Attack On Titan" season 2 will take more time to be released, there are more reasons for fans to be excited as the "Attack On Titan: "No Regrets," a prequel which focus on the story of Capt. Levi, reportedly ready for premiere in Japan on Dec. 9 this year. Aside from Levi, the prequel will also focus on Commander Erwin's story. The spin-off will end by Apr. 9, but it doesn't mean that next season will immediately follow up.

Furthermore. the live-action movie of AOT part 1: "Crimson Bow and Arrow" premieres on November 22, 2014 in Japan.
