Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison in early October in a federal New Jersey court on counts of mail fraud, mortgage fraud, and tax evasion, according to the website Realitywives.net.
Now that she has just under six weeks to spend time with her family, Teresa Giudice is reportedly going through a difficult time.
"She's skipping meals and surviving on coffee, a few nibbles, and wine," a source close to the former RHONJ star stated.
The insider added, "She's been shaking from all the caffeine and is down 11 pounds over the last two months. She looks frail. Her family is worried as she continues to obsess about prison and waste away."
Teresa Giudice will be leaving her four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana with her husband, Joe Giudice, who will be serving his 41-month sentence after his wife returns from her sentence. The mother-of-four and cookbook author will reportedly be heading to the FCI prison in Danbury, Connecticut to serve her time, which is the same prison where the hit Netflix show "Orange Is The New Black" is based.
Teresa Giudice's highly publicized legal issues and prison sentence has caught the attention of "Orange Is The New Black" star Taylor Schilling.
Schilling made sure to give Giudice advice on the American Music Awards red carpet, telling Access Hollywood's Liz Hernandez to not be anyone's "dandelion."
"Keep to yourself and find a few allies," Schilling stated.
The actress continued, "Don't mess around too much. She needs to watch herself."
