Although we know NeNe Leakes as the cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," the reality television show star is originally an actress, and she's quickly returning to fulfilling her dreams.

After appearances on NBC's "The New Normal" and FOX's "Glee," NeNe Leakes is putting RHOA aside for a hot second to star as the evil stepmother in "Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella" on Broadway, which has sparked speculation that the 46-year-old may leave the Bravo show in the future.

NeNe Leakes is also unhappy with her new RHOA co-stars so she may not have much a reason to stay on the show other than a paycheck.

"There's a few of them that are so nasty and so rude this season," stated Leakes, according to the New York Post.

She continued, "It's just so hack. They bring these new girls on, and it's really different. I'm just so over it, it's not even funny."

When asked how much longer Leakes will be sticking around on RHOA, she reportedly laughed and stated "Won't be much longer, honey."

Despite the intense preparations that are involved for "Cinderella," it seems like NeNe Leakes isn't complaining.

"It's a lot of work. Eight shows are a lot of shows in one week. But it's definitely a dream come true. I think every actor dreams of doing Broadway one day," Leakes told NBC.

During her interview with the media outlet, Leakes also compared her experience working on "Cinderella" with being a cast member of RHOA.

"Working on 'Housewives' can be very negative at times. I think that's the way [the producers] position the show. I'm the original - I'm the center of the show," explained Leakes.

She added, "Every season they want someone to come for me. It's tough. Broadway is more about the work and the art. It's being creative. And every one wants to go out there and deliver and put on a good show. It's very positive."
