"The Last: Naruto the Movie" premiere screening was held on November 24 at the Iino Hall in Tokyo. According to Crunchy Roll, Masashi Kishimoto, together with the five main voice cast: Junko Takeuchi (Naruto), Chie Nakamura (Sakura), Satoshi Hino (Sai), Kazuhiko Inoue (Kakashi), Jun Fukuyama (Tonero Otsustsuki), and Tsuneo Kobayashi, the film's director attended the screening.
"It feels like being released, because I have no more deadlines. So I was able to come here with plenty of time," Kishimoto said since it is his first public appearance after he finished Naruto on Shueisha's Shonen Jump. He also expressed his gratitude to fans for supporting the titular ninja series. "Thank you very much for keeping on looking at how Naruto has grown for such a long time of 15 years."
Reportedly, Kishimoto have previously told Takeuchi who has voiced Naruto since 2002 that the character's last growth would be love.
"Naruto has not yet been able to fully understand about love relationship, so I thought there were so many things I could do in a feature film. After watching the film, now I have a mixed feeling for him, relieved and sad, it's like Naruto is becoming independent from me. I have been watching him from his father's point of view," Kishimoto explained.
"The Last: Naruto The Movie" that will hit theaters in Japan on December 6, will be followed by a sequel of "Naruto" anime series based on Hinata and Hanabi Hyuga.
Previous reports noted Naruto television anime director Hayato Date announces that fans of the Naruto television anime should watch out for the continuation of the TV series together with a "new development" beginning 2015.
According to Saiyan Island, the sequel will focus on the next generation featuring the children of Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Sasuke and others. Latin Times reported that Japanese site My Game News Flash noted "the sequel may focus on a new generation of Shinobi as rumors suggest Naruto and Hinata will have two children, a son and a daughter. Hinata and Naruto's son will be named Bolt, or Boruto, a pun on Naruto. Hinata and Naruto's daughter is named "Himawari," which is "sunflower" in Japanese."
