Anderson Silva news reveals opponent Nick Diaz's promise not to target "The Spider's" injured leg when they face each other at UFC 183. The former UFC welterweight contender was also courteous towards Silva contrary to his past opponents, describing him as "a real nice guy."

"The Spider" and Diaz will be facing each other on January 31, as their respective comeback fights in the UFC. The 31-year old Diaz will be returning from a self-imposed hiatus after losing to former long-time welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre, while Silva is coming off a gruesome broken leg injury after facing reigning champion Chris Weidman at UFC 168 in December 2013.

Given the magnitude of the injury, it would be easy for any of Silva's opponents to go after his injured leg. But Anderson Silva news reveals that Diaz is not intending to target the said injured limb when they face each other.

"When someone tells you a fighter's injured and they tell you to go after an injury, it really throws you off," Diaz said in a report by Yahoo! Sports. "It would be sad to lose a fight on account of, you're trying to concentrate on capitalizing on someone's weakness when it comes to injury and something like that, [rather than fighting] your fight without worrying about something like that."

"It just doesn't ... it's not realistic to go after his injury, unless they got a cut the same week, then it's like, yeah, hit him in the eye, because the [expletive] is going to re-open and now you wouldn't fight on the cut," he added.

Anderson Silva news also reveals the unusual courtesy that Nick Diaz has shown so far, given the fact that he usually is abrasive towards his opponents. The Stockon, California native even had nice words to say towards "The Spider."

"He's a real nice guy and he has a mutual respect and we don't have a personal issue with each other," Diaz said. "We don't have a personal issue with each other for now."
