"The Last: Naruto The Movie" had its premiere screening last November 24 which reveals some major spoilers. The 15-year old manga series' creator Masashi Kishimoto opens up about how he felt after watching the movie.
"After watching the film, now I have a mixed feeling for him, relieved and sad, it's like Naruto is becoming independent from me. I have been watching him from his father's point of view," he said.
According to a Reddit post, Naruto and Hinata had a kissing scene in the movie which was carefully crafted by Kishimoto making it appear artsy rather than exploitative.
"For the final kiss-scene, I thought of the two of them as though they were my own children," Kishimoto said according to the post. "After completing this first stage, from the viewpoint as an old man, uncle, and father, I felt relieved. Naruto has not yet been able to fully understand about love relationship, so I thought there were so many things I could do in a feature film."
"The Last: Naruto the Movie" premiere screening was held at the Iino Hall in Tokyo. Crunchy Roll reported that the five main voice cast are present in the screening together with Kishimoto and Tsuneo Kobayashi, the film's director. The cast are Junko Takeuchi as Naruto, Chie Nakamura as Sakura, Satoshi Hino as Sai, Kazuhiko Inoue as Kakashi and Jun Fukuyama as Tonero Otsustsuki.
Kishimoto conveyed a feeling of relief after finishing the manga series.
"It feels like being released, because I have no more deadlines. So I was able to come here with plenty of time," Kishimoto said at the premiere screening since it is his first public appearance after he finished Naruto on Shueisha's Shonen Jump. He also expressed his gratitude to fans for supporting the titular ninja series. "Thank you very much for keeping on looking at how Naruto has grown for such a long time of 15 years."
The most anticipated "The Last: Naruto The Movie" will hit the Japanese theaters on December 6.
