The European Parliament voted last Thursday being after a resolution that would filter search engines from being freed from their other commercial services.
The mentioned resolution, having approved by 384 votes out of 174 with 56 abstain votes concentrated on the web search market and its "particular importance in ensuring competitive conditions within the digital single market". In other words, Being free would armor itself from Google and other search engines being in favor on their own.
The parliament summoned the European Commission to "consider proposals with the aim of unbundling search engines from other commercial services."
According to the parliament's statement, The resolution underlines that "the online search market is of particular importance in ensuring competitive conditions within the digital single market" and welcomes the Commission's pledges to investigate further the search engines' practices."
The resolution of the non-legislatives is said to be more of a recommendation to the European Union policy-makers than an order for the European member states, Its message is however is as clear as crystal: Members of the parliament suggests the European commission "prevent any abuse" that can possibly come to light as it was linked with the operator of the search engines.
Although the said resolution is expected to have a great impact on all search engines, not only Google, It came after a four-year-scrutiny with a company's search and advertising measures.
The resolution also requires the European government's favor of no neutrality stating that "all internet traffic should be treated equally, without discrimination, restriction or interference."
Google although, is expected for an immediate response.
