A 2014 Thanksgiving dinner took an ugly turn for a couple in Wilkes-Barre, Philadelphia.
A woman was reportedly arrested Thursday after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend because he began eating Thanksgiving dinner while she was taking a nap after getting drunk earlier in the day, according to the website Philly.com.
47-year-old Jack-Lyn Blake reportedly met officers at the front door of her Madison Street home and admitted to stabbing her boyfriend in the chest, according to police. Officers reportedly found her boyfriend inside the house holding a towel over his chest.
He was reportedly hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, despite being stabbed in the chest and struck just below the left eye with the knife he was wounded with, according to the NY Daily News.
The woman's boyfriend reportedly told investigators that Blake had gone upstairs to sleep off her drunkenness, and when she found him eating dinner hours later, she allegedly became enraged. Police reportedly stated that Blake grabbed a knife and chased the man around the dining room table before stabbing him in the chest and throwing the knife at him.
Blake was reportedly taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to be arraigned on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault, reckless endangerment and touristic threats, stated police. It's reportedly unclear whether she has a lawyer or not.
This isn't the first time Blake snapped when it came to her boyfriend.
The woman was reportedly arrested in May for allegedly threatening to kill her boyfriend in his sleep. Charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment were reportedly dismissed the following month, court records stated.
