Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's turbulent marriage appears to have been influenced by the unhappy childhood of the former "Beverly Hills 90210" actress. According to a report from Daily Mail, the "True Tori" star hinted about not wanting to become like her mother, Candy Spelling.

The reality star admitted: "I don't deal with stress well," referring to her week-long hospitalization last October for pneumonia and bronchitis, which she said was caused by her being over-stressed..

She narrated: "My whole life, I would just repress (it) and keep going and no one knew, really. And it would just start coming out."

Tori Spelling recalled: "I would be sick all the time - sinus, migraines, everything. I don't want to keep going on like that. I'm at that place where I don't like the way my kids see me. I don't like them seeing me as sick."

The daughter of former Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling and socialite Candy Spelling revealed that her tendency to not take care of herself goes back to her childhood.

She said: "Not feeling worthy enough that I should be allowed to be taken care of or I should have any worth to even eat, drink, you know, to get to me first.

As an apparent result of her unhappy childhood, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's marriage woes seem to be affecting their children.

According to a report from Us Weekly, the 41-year-old celebrity admitted that her lowest point was when her four kids did not seem "fazed" about their mother's confinement.

The former teen star shared: "After being in the hospital for two weeks, being away from my kids, that was my rock bottom... Because they weren't even fazed by me being in the hospital."

"They're used to it," Tori Spelling said. "And I don't want them to grow up thinking, 'Mom's sick.'"

"I need to change. I need to prioritize me, and my problem is I put everyone before me," the reality star said.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's marriage problems took a toll on the health of the "True Tori" star when she was hospitalized last month.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's troubled relatonship is the primary reason why the actress has been so skinny and sickly lately.

An insider said: "Tori is still stressed out about her relationship with Dean and as a result hasn't been eating that much."

"All the anxiety and uncertainty is still taking a toll on her health," the insider added.
