Protests in Ferguson against a grand jury's decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the August shooting of Michael Brown have remained peaceful since Thanksgiving, according to the Wall Street Journal.
This is reportedly the second day of full-scale protests after a peaceful Thanksgiving and police have stated that no arrests have been made.
As the ongoing protests both in and outside of Ferguson have remained peaceful, Michael Brown's family continues to mourn the tragic death of their 18-year-old son. The family members of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, two black teenagers killed in separate shootings, reportedly gathered in a South Florida vigil, according to the Washington Post.
Michael Brown's father and Trayvon Martin's parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, reportedly attended the Gospel Explosion Concert held by rapper Flo Rida, according to CBS Local.
The parents of the two boys had reportedly met before at Brown's funeral.
"I just tried to encourage him and let him know that God has his hands on the situation, and he's gonna be OK," stated Tracy Martin.
Sybrina Fulton added, "There's really nothing you can say. Time is going to heal the wound. But I think what we can just do is just encourage them and tell them that they'll be able to make it because it is very difficult."
There are reportedly currently two ongoing investigations by the Justice Department into the August 9 shooting of Michael Brown. One investigation is reportedly looking into whether Darren Wilson should face civil rights charges while the other is looking into the Ferguson Police Department's practices.
"We're not done fighting until we see justice," stated Pastor Lee.
