It was so sudden and the actor didn't even announce that he will leave the social media site. Rumors started coming out that he is being hounded by haters and negative feedbacks that's why he decided to quit the social media site. Movie fan Tim A Roberts wrote on Twitter, "Simon Pegg was hounded off twitter.......trolls, take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror...take a look into yourself loathing"
Other fans shared their sentiments about Simon Pegg being gone on Twitter. One follower wrote, "My life is slightly less bright without @simonpegg on twitter. *sob*". Another follower wrote, "Simon pegg deleted his Twitter account I feel like a dad just died."
Finally the "Mission Impossible 5" star Simon Pegg gave out an explanation as to why he decided to deactivate his account on Twitter. He wrote a letter to his fans through his official website. The 44-year old comedian wrote, "Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Truth is, I've decided to give Twitter a break for the time being. If you're reading this, you may be looking for an explanation as to why, so here it is."
Pegg revealed, "I haven't been enjoying it for a while now. There hasn't been a specific incident and the reasons are various. Ultimately, I think we've just grown apart. What I'm saying is, it's not you, it's me." Sounds like he was breaking up with Twitter, which is quite funny, but why all of a sudden lost interest in it? That's something we need to find out, but that actor showed his gratitude to his followers.
He said, "To those of you, who have regularly sent me messages and supported me, I say thank you and please be in no doubt you are appreciated and valued. Your creativity, passion and positivity is always inspiring. "
"The World's End" actor added, "In the meantime, I'm going to concentrate on the real world and keep working hard. There's a lot of really fun stuff coming up and there is still every chance you will be sick of me, in no time at all." Based on what he wrote, it seems that he will be quite busy with his career.
