When the news about "The Musketeers" Season 2 and the possible air date broke out, the whole cast felt great. The enthusiasm of the actors grew when they received an update that boot camp will begin in a few weeks time.
In an interview with Luke Pasqualino, who played the role of D'Artagnan, he said that he was very excited to work for the second season. As a preparation, he and the rest of the boys went to the boot camp.
Luke related that they "stayed in a castle for a week outside of Prague, and it was literally a boot camp! There were fitness tests, getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning, horse riding for two hours, coming back to do two hours of sword fighting and then a short lunch, then repeating the horse riding and sword fighting after lunch - it was non-stop! It was the most valuable week of the shoot really - it put us in great stead for the rest of the show and kind of gave us a head start really."
In the said boot camp, the boys trained with a sword master, horse master, and stunt coordinator.
When asked about Peter Capaldi, who will not be seen in "The Musketeers" Season 2, which is reported to have January 2015 air date in UK, he said the cast respected his decision and added that he will be remarkable "as the new Doctor".
Tom Burke, who portrays the character of Athos, said in an interview with Digital Spy, "It hadn't occurred to me and when he was cast, it just seemed the most brilliant decision."
"The Musketeers" is made by BBC Drama Production, co-produced by BBC WorldWide and BBC America. Adrian Hodges is the creator and the executive producer. Colin Wratten is the producer.
