Frozen 2 release is possible as Idina Menzel, the famous voice behind the hit 'Let It Go' and Elsa's character, confirmed that a full-length sequel is 'in the works.' When asked about her role in the upcoming film, as well as her involvement in the highly-anticipated theatre production, Menzel told Telegraph: "Not the stage show - I don't know what will happen with that - but the movie hopefully. We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."

This year, Frozen fans were already ecstatic about the release date of the short film 'Frozen Fever', slated on spring 2015 (probably coming out just a bit earlier Kenneth Branagh's masterpiece Cinderella.) When this news started making some noise online, the team promptly clarified that Frozen 2 or a full-length sequel might not be possible. However, Menzel's vague revelation suddenly changed the cards.

While waiting for the plot of Frozen 2 and some more clues about an original song that Menzel might have to belt out once again, here is the official synopsis of the short film 'Frozen Fever' that can ease your longing for Elsa, Amna, Olaf, and Kristoff:

"On Anna's birthday, Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk."

'Frozen Fever' is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and its upcoming songs will be composed, arranged and coordinated by Robert Lopez, Dave Metzger, and Ashley Chafin respectively.

If Menzel's recent claims on Frozen 2 remain true, fans might have to wait a little longer. Just a little backtrack: The original movie Frozen went through a lot of story treatments for years before being commissioned in 2011, and finally released in 2013. Hence, the same case might apply for its full-length sequel, especially that Iger has already stated in May 2014 that the team behind this blockbuster film will never consider a 'force storytelling.'
