There's brewing tension in Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's marriage as the "Before I Go to Sleep" actress is reported to have asked her mom to move in after father's death.
According to Celebrity Fix, Nicole Kidman decided to test her marriage with Keith Urban by asking her mother, Janelle, to live with them in Australia.
"Nic really wants to be with her and take care of her. With the loss of her dad, it's really hit home to Nic that life is so fragile," the source said. "And she wants to spend every moment with her mum. They've got plenty of room at their house in Nashville and she would love nothing more than her to have grandma close at hand."
Although Keith Urban has a good relationship with his mother-in-law, "he also is scared that she will change the dynamic of his marriage with Nicole," the tabloid site said, adding that the "American Idol" judge is already having a hard time getting alone time with Nicole Kidman due to their schedules and young children.
"That's why Keith isn't keen on Janelle moving in permanently. When he's home, he likes to kick back and relax. He doesn't want to worry about a permanent house guest. He knows they could both be looking at him disapprovingly if he wants to have a night out with buddies. Janelle is very old-school and has impeccable manners," the site added.
