Which smartphone is the better buy? We compare the Blackberry Z10 and the HTC One Mini to see which is worth the purchase.

For the design and display, the Blackberry Z10 has a touch screen that measures 4.2 inches and has a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. It weighs 137.5 grams and has the following dimensions: 130 x 65.6 x 9 mm.

The HTC One Mini has a slightly bigger touch screen of 4.3 inches Super LCD2 which can render a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is lighter than its competitor, weighing 122 grams, and it is surprisingly thicker (dimensions: 132 x 63.2 x 9.3 mm).

In terms of hardware and OS, the Blackberry Z10 has a dual core (Krait) processor that works at 1.5 GHz. The chipset that comes along with it is a Snapdragon MSM8960 from Qualcomm. It has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (you can expand this memory up to 64GB if you use a microSD card). It runs on the Blackberry 10 OS.

Meanwhile, the HTC One Mini has a dual core (the Krait 200) clocked at 1.4 GHz. Its processor is paired up with the Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm. The smartphone has a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (the HTC does not present itself with a microSD slot, so the memory is not expandable). It runs on the Android Jelly Bean.

For battey usage and camera specs, the Blackberry Z10 has Li-Ion 1800 mAh battery that last around 10 hours of talking time while the HTC One Mini has as Li-Po 1800 mAh battery that last around 13 hours and 20 minutes of talking time (3G).

The HTC One Mini has a 4MP rear-facing camera (LED flash + autofocus) and a front-facing camera of 1.6MP, while the Blackberry Z10 comes with a superior 8MP rear-facing camera (LED flash + autofocus) and front-facing camera of 2MP.

The Blackberry Z10 cost around $185.95, while the HTC One Mini is at $355.55.
