Joan Rivers' death is believed to have been caused by the neglect of doctors from Yorkville Endoscopy, as a report said the medical facility delayed performing CPR and calling 911.
According to a report from Page Six, new details have been revealed about the Upper East side clinic that performed the botched throat procedure on the former "Fashion Police" host.
An investigation has shown that two specialists of Yorkville Endoscopy - now ex-medical director Dr. Lawrence Cohen, and celebrity ENT Dr. Gwen Korovin - did not stop the scoping procedure even after the late comedienne's pulse and blood pressure dropped.
An insider revealed that Joan Rivers "had no heartbeat, no pulse, she wasn't breathing" when medics arrived at Yorkville Endoscopy.
Page Six also reported that records also showed how Joan Rivers' death after getting into a coma was affected by the clinic's 10-minute delay before calling 911. The source added: "She had cyanosis around the lips and the mouth - that's when your lips turn blue from lack of oxygen. That takes several minutes without oxygen."
The doctors' failure to perform CPR is also believed to have caused the comatose state and eventually Joan Rivers' death last September 4.
"They should have stopped the procedure and started resuscitation right away and done an emergency tracheotomy if there was any obstruction," the source pointed out.
The source added that Joan Rivers " would still be alive" had the personnel from Yorkville Endoscopy been more careful.
Joan Rivers' death is still being mourned by Melissa Rivers, who recently had her first Thanksgiving without her mother. According to an earlier report from Page Six, the late comedienne's only daughter hosted a Thanksgiving dinner at the former "Fashion Police" host's elegant Upper East Side property.
While still mourning Joan Rivers' death, the insider added that Melissa Rivers "wanted the occasion to be a happy one, to remember her mother and everything she did for other people."
