Bill Cosby may have opened up on his Twitter account more than he has during his recent interviews, most of which have shown “The Cosby Show” star remaining silent when asked questions regarding the assault claims that have been surrounding him.
His silence had even brought on speculation that Bill Cosby was choosing to ignore all the sexual assault allegations and news reports, but it seems that the 77-year-old may have been keeping up with the people who have been supporting him as women continue to come forward with their stories.
“The View” host Whoopi Goldberg and singer Jill Scott reportedly both expressed their support for Bill Cosby recently, which has brought criticism onto themselves as well, according to the media outlet Salon.
Goldberg reportedly stated that she had “a lot of questions” about the claims regarding Bill Cosby and would “reserve judgement,” according to the U.K.’s The Independent.
“Perhaps the police might have believed it. Or the hostile. Don’t you do a kit when you say someone has raped you?,” asked Goldberg.
She continued, “Isn’t that the next step once you make an allegation? Don’t the cops take you into a hospital for a kit?”
Jill Scott took to Twitter to show her support for Bill Cosby when she was reportedly asked to sign a petition urging Temple University to cut their involvement with the comedian.
“Oh ok. So they’ve proven the alleged allegations? I didn’t know. Will they also be giving him back the millions he’s donated?,” asked Scott.
Despite the support he’s received, another woman has come forward accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault. Judy Huth reportedly filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming sexual battery and infliction of emotional distress during an incident at the Playboy Mansion, according to WGNTV.
The alleged sexual assault reportedly took place in 1974 when Huth was only 15 years old. Cosby reportedly served Huth “alcoholic beverages and played games of billiards.”
“He then proceeded to sexually molest her by attempting to put his hand down her pants, and then taking her hand in his hands and performing a sex act on himself without her consent,” the lawsuit stated.
