What should we look forward to for tonight's episode and the rest of this sixth season? Warning: TVD spoilers ahead!

According to the Latin Post, "Executive producers Caroline Dries and Julie Plec revealed that Stefan will learn that he has a relative in the upcoming episode, titled "I Alone." "I'm Zach and Gail's daughter, Sarah Salvatore," says a young woman as she introduces herself to Stefan, who seems to be in total shock, in a preview video. In response, Enzo will be very intrigued and search to get to the bottom of this mystery. Meanwhile, Damon and Elena will figure out a way to help Bonnie escape her time prison by traveling to the prison world and then bringing her back home with them. However, Plec confirmed that Kai has escaped from the prison world and is setting out to merge with his sister, Jo, and then take control of the Gemini Coven. The CW also released a sneak peak video of Elena telling Jeremy that Bonnie is still alive. In the video, the siblings are seen taking a jog around Whitmore College. Jeremy says that after grieving the loss of his girlfriend and struggling with alcoholism, he is finally ready to move on. That's when Elena turns to him and begins talking about Bonnie. According to Plec, fans should not hold their breath waiting for Damon and Elena to get back together in the Christmas-themed midseason finale. "There is mistletoe in the midseason finale, and fans are free to wish for anything they want - and also prepare for crushing disappointment in the way that we always tend to like to serve it to them," said the EP, according to TV Line."

Hypable asks, "Will Bonnie come back tonight? We hope so. Let's face it, Bonnie has "died" more times than we care to count, so she'll have to come back for real before The Vampire Diaries leaves for its winter break. The question is, will it be tonight or will this episode be filler for the fall finale? With The Vampire Diaries' fall finale being just a couple weeks away and tonight's episode no doubt going to be a big one, we're left wondering how long we're really going to have to wait to get Bonnie back. While it would make sense to see her come back at the end of the fall finale, we're hoping it's a little earlier. Why? It would make the rest of season 6 so much more interesting! Plus, it'd be way less predictable. The rest of this season can go one of two ways: Option one being Bonnie and Kai come back tonight, Kai deals with Jo, Luke, and Liv tonight and next week, and Elena's love for Damon returns before January. This would set up the second half of the season for an entirely new and unique story line that makes us curious for more. Out with the Kai problem and in with the Mystic Falls magic circle issue/even more problems. Option two, and the one we imagine will happen, is Bonnie coming home along with Kai, who will leave us at a cliffhanger next week when he meets his family; and Elena falling in love with Damon again because let's face it, an entire second half of Elena being compelled to forget her love is too much. Why do we insist Bonnie will be coming home? Other than this plot being too flimsy to last an entire second half of the season, and the fact that Bonnie already died so another death would feel cheap, Plec explicitly told us at Comic-Con '14 that the first half of the season will deal with Bonnie and Damon, the latter of whom is already back in town. The question then becomes: Will the Kai story line be pulled all the way through the season?"

It will certainly be interesting to see this TVD episode play out! Check out the "I Alone" spoiler-filled promo video and sneek-peak preview video below:
