With all the new romantic comedy series being abruptly cancelled in the past few months ("A To Z," "Manhattan Love Story") having a full episode ordered for "Jane The Virgin" season 1 is a fantastic feat.
Then again, the Venezuelan telenovela adaptation was already being called the "favorite show of the fall season" even before it aired. Gina Rodriguez, who plays the titular Jane, was considered to be the breakout star for this season.
What makes the heart-warmingly hilarious drama so likable? The show itself listed five reasons why Jane Villanueva's life story is so interesting.
First on the list, according to hottie Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni), is that epic telenovela kiss he and Jane shared.
The moment happened just after the soon-to-be mother decided to end things with her fiancé, Michael Cordero (Brett Drier). After admitting to herself that she had feelings for Rafael, the latter scooped her up in a kiss just as petals started falling around them.
Next is "The Drama" which Jane's father, Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil), plays so well.
His reactions are so dramatic that even Jane herself tries to steer clear of it.
Number three is "The Hostage" as well as all the other underlying mysteries within "Jane The Virgin" season 1- Petra's real identity (including the man she hid in her closet), the murders in Rafael's hotel, and of course, Sin Rostro.
Now that Michael isn't caught up with trying to keep Jane happy anymore, will he finally be able to find out who Sin Rostro really is? According to the actor, we'll be meeting the criminal mastermind very soon.
Number four is Jane and Rafael's epic date under the stairs, and last but not the least, the supposed danger.

"Jane The Virgin" season 1 continues with a new episode this Monday, December 8. After that perfect date, Jane will have to tell Rafael that she won't be having sex, even when she's carrying his baby.
