Laura Marling debuted four new tracks on Thursday night at a club in Los Angeles, giving fans a snippet of her upcoming fifth album, according to the media outlet NME News.
The Brit-award winner’s new new studio album is reportedly set for a March release.
Laura Marling kept things as mysterious as always, reportedly playing the four new songs, but not revealing their names. She also reportedly played at a nameless, invite-only club in Los Angeles that is co-owned by Bryan Ling, manager of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros.
Last night’s performance was reportedly very different from what Laura Marling fans have seen from her previous performances, which mostly included a couple guitars.
The folk singer was reportedly seen with a full band with Marling on the electric guitar for three out of the four tracks, which further sparks speculation that she may have changed things up for her new album.
“It’s fun to have guitar pedals and to try and make as many weird sounds as possible,” stated Marling during her concert.
Laura Marling’s next performance will be at The Conor Oberst Holiday Show at the Beacon Theater in New York, according to mxdwn.com. The “Once I Was An Eagle” artist will be playing the WFUV Holiday Cheer Benefit along with Natalie Merchant, The Felice Brothers, The Lone Bellow and Jonathan Wilson on December 8.
