Fitbit GoPRO Cam Sales Holidays: Hero 3+ 'Crushed It' On Black Friday, Fitbit Flex Slashed To $70-$80
Fitbit GoPRO Cam Sales Holidays had two of the best selling deals during the Black Friday, Cyber Monday shopping week. Some retailers have extended Cyber Monday shopping through December 7, Sunday to get more customers to take a look at their holiday shopping merchandise.
GoPro (GPRO) has been doing well since it released its GoPro Hero 3+ camera. Reports say that GoPro Hero 3+ 'crushed' Fitbit GoPRO Cam Sales Holidays during the Black Friday shopping hysteria: Nasdaq.com quoted Pacific securities analyst Brad Erickson as saying, "We detected..strong demand for the discounted Hero 3+ Silver Edition, which was being bundled with various combinations of memory cards, accessories, mounts and/or additional gift cards depending on the retailer, for $250 (normal camera-only price is $300),"
Erickson added in his note, "Several stores we visited had sold out of their allotment on Thanksgiving evening, which was encouraging."
Fitness reports also say that consumers are more aware of their health risks and they are leading more active lives. At this point, wearable tech has such as Fitbit has played a big role in everyday lives of patients, the elderly and those who exercise avidly.
Fitbit recently unveiled three models with Fitbit Charge, Fitbit Charge HR and Fitbit Surge benefiting from Fitbit GoPRO Cam Sales Holidays. Fitbit's manufacturer slashed the price on Fitbit Flex, an older model to $70-$80 and this helped consumers in adopting to the newer models, according to reports.
However, Bryan Wolfe of appadvice.com says that an initial model Fitbit Force, which received rave reviews, was pulled off the shelf after complaints of skin irritation following prolonged use. This product was later introduced as Fitbit Charge.
Wolfe writes, "The Fitbit Charge is an adequate tracker from one of the biggest names in fitness. Still, the device should be avoided, as there are better products already on the market, or are coming soon."
