The popularity of KBS2 weekend drama 'My Daughter Seo Young' is looking to be special.
On the morning of the 7th, according to AGB Nielson Media Research, episode 7 had recorded 26.7% in the ratings the previous night. Usually with weekend dramas, the ratings are higher on Sundays. So looking at this trend, it is possible that episode 8 might break 30%.
In this episode, Seo Young (played by Lee Bo Young) and Woo Jae (played by Lee Sang Yoon)'s secret relationship is found out by Woo Jae's family. The last scene caught a lot of attention because when Woo Jae's family asked Seo Young about her parents, she lied and said that her father (played by Chun Ho Jin) had died. Woo Jae's father, Kang Ki Bum (played by Choi Jung Woo), kept on pressing her for information about her father so Seo Young lied and said, "My father passed away."
The viewers that watched the episode said, "I understand Seo Young's situation, but can you receive forgiveness for lying about a parent's death?" and "I actually felt bad for her because I could see that she acted that way because she earnestly loves Woo Jae."
