Mariah Carey's failed "All I Want For Christmas Is You" performance at Rockefeller Center last Wednesday, December 3, has been trending this week and according to the latest news, the "Heartbreaker" diva blamed NBC staff for leaking the recordings.
According to some reports, Mimi made die-hard fans upset as she failed to show up to pre-tape her performance on Tuesday, Dec. 2. TMZ reported that she even left her crew out in the cold rain for three hours "while reportedly handling a phone call about her estranged husband Nick Cannon."
According to Daily Mail, she and her husband have an argument over their property and custody of their twins. People magazine's source told them, "She was on the phone for probably close to five hours straight with lawyers."
"She's trying to keep it together. She's focused on caring for her children and her upcoming five sold-out Christmas engagements in New York. I think they're trying to work all these details out on property and the kids before it gets filed,' the source said, adding that the pair haven't yet filed official documents. "They communicate because of the kids."
"We Belong Together" pop star apologized to her fans on Twitter saying, "Last night's situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you."
Meanwhile, a source told New York Daily said, "'It's really hard to leak 'just' audio. Mariah is blaming producers for leaking her audio track. She believes they did it to punish her for not showing up to taping the day before the live event!"
