Santa Claus may be busy in the North Pole at this very moment, getting ready for his big journey around the world. Google will track Santa as they have done the last few years. But this time, it is not content to just follow him on the night before Christmas. Instead, they set up residence in his village, according to the Verge.
People will be able to keep tabs on the mythical gift-giving demigod, following him on Christmas Eve as he crosses the planet to hand out presents.
"December may mean snow days in Denver, Colo. or beach days in Sydney, Australia, but in Santa's Village, it means the countdown to Santa's big night," Google's Santa Launch Strategist Sandy Russell wrote in a blog. "Starting today, the elves are back on the clock in the North Pole - and throughout the month of December."
People will be able to track Santa's sleigh as it travels the globe. The Web giant just re-launched its Santa Tracker site, where you'll be able to follow Saint Nick's progress around the world on Christmas Eve and know about some of his stops along the way.
Santa Tracker is included by some educational features also. For example, by clicking on the globe you'll be able to learn about Christmas traditions in different part of the world. User will learn how to say Santa in different languages, one each day of December. They will learn a complete short coding project on basic JavaScript.
In the meantime, Google's own developers have also been busy putting the finishing touches on the Santa Tracker App for Android, so you can keep track of Kris Kringle from phone, tablet or TV. There's also a Chrome version from which you can follow Santa on Christmas Eve.
