Which smartphone is worth the purchase? We compare the Nokia Lumia 625 and the HTC 8XT to see which device is better.
In terms of design and display, the Nokia Lumia 625 has a display of 4.7 inches IPS LCD, that renders 480x800pixels and 199ppi, and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The HTC 8XT has a 4.3 inches screen, but has the same resolution as it rival, but 217ppi pixel density. The HTC smartphone is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass.
The HTC smartphone weighs 120 grams and measures 132.1x66x9.9 mm, while the Nokia Lumia 625 weighs 39 grams more and measures 133.3×72.3×9.2 mm.
For hardware and OS, both have Krait processors with two cores, that supports a Qualcomm MSM8930 Snapdragon chipsets and they’re using Adreno 305 GPU. The HTC 8XT is clocked at 1.4GHz, while the Nokia Lumia 625 is clocked at 1.2GHz. Plus, the HTC device has a bigger RAM capacity of 1GB, while the Nokia smartphone runs with 512MB of RAM. They both have 8GB of memory and expands up to 64GB. They also have the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS, but the Nokia device was privileged to receive the 8.1 update.
For battery and camera specs, the Nokia Lumia 625 2000mAh non-removable battery. The HTC 8XT has a Li-Po 1800mAh user replaceable battery with a total duration of talktime of 14 hours.
The Nokia smartphone has a primary camera of 5MP with autofocus, LED flash, geo tagging and touch focus, it records at 1080p@30fps and for video calling it provides a VGA front camera. The HTC device's back camera is 8MP with autofocus, LED flash, geo tagging and 1.4 µm pixel size, but it has the same video recording capabilities as its rival. However, the front camera is better at 1.6MP.
The Nokia Lumia 625 costs $200, while the HTC 8XT is $30 cheaper.
