Although it seems impossible to make the Internet's Grumpy Cat smile, this feline has been earning millions of dollars for the past couple of years. As a matter of fact, the 29-year old owner, Tabatha Bundesen of Morristown, Arizona, had to quit her job as a waitress.

Tardar Sauce (Grumpy Cat's real name) was born with a genetic defect that gives a permanent scowl on her face due to her underbite. Tabatha's brother took a photo of her peeved-looking cat and posted it to Reddit.

Little did they know that the photo went viral and Grumpy Cat was being used as a meme, with recognition on sites like BuzzFeed and CNBC. It earned more than 1 million views on Imgur within 48 hours.

"We knew she was extremely unique, but we didn't know she would be this magnitude of special," Bundesen said at Grumpy Cat's second-birthday party in April.

Bendensen also told Phoenix Business Journal in an interview, another perk: "I'm getting to travel ... we get to see my family that lives in different parts of the country more often," Bundesen told in an interview. "It's really awesome that Grumpy Cat can spread to joy to so many people - and she's a cat."

With Grumpy Cat's internet success, Bundesen said she is also astounded with all the commercial offers. As a matter of fact, the cat also has her own brand of iced coffee called Grumppuccino. Grumpy Cat is the "spokescat" for Friskies cat food, and has been on the cover of New York magazine.

In "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," the kitty's first film, she was voiced by actress Aubrey Plaza, enticed 1.8 million viewers when it aired on November 29. The film is billed as a cross between "Die Hard" and "Home Alone."

Aside from film offers, and commercial endorsements, Grumpy cat continues to be one of the most poular meme on the internet, with lots of different captions through various scenarios.
