Just a few weeks ago, the 'Pitch Perfect 2' trailer took over the world with a bang, hyping up the anticipation for next year's theatrical follow-up to the 2012 hit movie!
Keeping up with her usual routine of regularly updating fans about the sequel, director Elizabeth Banks gave a hilarious, "real quick breakdown" of the entire thing through her own website!
Despite being "hard at work in the editing room," the "Hunger Games" star was still able to summarize the 3-minute clip into six points coupled with GIFs from the teaser video.
She starts off with "the Bellas are back" and they're clearly not alone.
Banks continued, "They've added some badass new members and they're ready to rumble. Love me some girl power."
The sequel previously released a witty poster showing only the silhouettes of the girls. The catchphrase, "We're back, pitches!" is spray painted in block letters on the background.
Banks carries on with number 2, "The crazy world of collegiate a cappella has not gotten any less crazy since the first movie. Tobias from Arrested Development is in blue silk pajamas, wearing some gold bling, forcing you to make fart sounds to get into parties. Just like real life! Or so I imagine."
Moving along, she adds, "The bad boys of a cappella are back (I love a man who's secure enough in his masculinity to wear a crushed velvet blazer). But, Bumper Allen is singing for a new team...Has he left John Mayer's employment? You'll have to wait and see. #drama"
Here's number four on the helmer's breakdown: "We've got some fresh competition in Pitch Perfect 2 which means some noobs to the cast. This includes Clay Matthews, David Bakhtiari, TJ Lang, Josh Sitton, Don Barclay, & Jordan Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, Flula Borg and Borgen's Birgitte Sorenson to name a few."
Of course, she can't miss talking about her own role in the film, saying, "John and Gail are back and their commentary game is ON. POINT. (If I do say so myself.)"
However, the best part of the whole "Pitch Perfect 2" trailer? Fat Amy.
"Some things never change. Benji is still doing close up magic and Fat Amy is still awesome," the 40-year-old actress concluded her comical run-through.
The Barden Bellas will be making their comeback next year on May 15.
