Dan Bilzerian, the man who made his face and body known to the world through Instagram, was arrested at LAX Tuesday night, police stated, according to LA Weekly.
Although most news outlets have reported that the "King of Instagram" was arrested for allegedly kicking a woman at Miami Beach club LIV, it has been reported that Dan Bilzerian may have been arrested regarding another serious issue.
A warrant was reportedly issued in Nevada recently, complaining that Bilzerian had violated a state law that forbids the possession of "an explosive or incendiary device with the intent to manufacture it," according to The Hollywood Gossip. There is reportedly speculation that the Instagram playboy was accused of allegedly making a bomb.
It's not clear if Dan Bilzerian is being investigated regarding the warrant that was issued, but an LAPD official reportedly stated that it wasn't clear if the arrest that was made last night was based on the Miami incident involving the woman.
Model Vanessa Castano reportedly filed a police report after the incident at the Miami club, which happened on Saturday night as Bilzerian celebrated a birthday. Bilzerian is reportedly being held without bail and was assigned to a cell at 11:51pm on Tuesday, according to a sheriff's inmate data that had been posted.
The 34-year-old's version of what went down at the Miami club over the weekend is reportedly very different from the victim's.
"Actually 2 girls attacked a girl I was with to the point they gave her a black eye and threw her off the table and went after her, b/c they wanted to get closer to me," wrote Bilzerian on his Instagram, according to Gawker.
The poker player had made headlines before for allegedly throwing a model off of his roof as a stunt. Janice Griffith reportedly broke her foot in the incident and demanded $85,000, but was shut down by Bilzerian and his lawyer.
