It looks like the much anticipated Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao fight would be on May 2015 if the reports are to be believed.
Dailymail reported that the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather fight would be set this May 2015 and the rematch (should it happen) would be set to September 2015.
Thum Bones of ThaiBoxe Record has reported that the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather bout is on and that the only "hindrance" in the fight negotiations is where the fight would take place.
Manila Bulletin has confirmed that Mayweather is going to get a guaranteed $100 million purse for the fight and a $80 million purse for Pacquiao.
Scott Christ of BadLeftHook.com has also reported that:
"Mayweather's $100 million purse doesn't include PPV upside and all the other revenue streams he's wisely used to his advantage as boxing's top draw, and Pacquiao's $60 million would go up, too."
Dailymail.co.uk has also reported that Floyd Mayweather demands a rematch with Pacquiao should he lose the first fight.
Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach told Dailymail as he reviewed the prospects for a Mayweather fight before flying back from China to Los Angeles.
Roach told Dailymail that:
"My understanding is that Floyd is insisting on the re-match if Manny beats him, which I believe he will. That's okay with us."
The BoxRec also speculated that Floyd is scared of Pacquiao's punching power and they feel that Floyd would need more than one fight to "figure out" Pacquiao.
