We compare the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite vs the iPad Mini to see which one reigns supreme as the better tablet.
In terms of design and display, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite has a nice 7 inches TFT touch screen which renders a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels,and it comes with the following dimensions: 193.4 x 116.4 x 9.7 mm, weighing 310 g. The iPad Mini however has bigger touch screen which is a 7.9 inches IPS LCD and LED-backlit one, but the resolution on this device isn't that much higher than its competitor with 768 x 1024 pixels. iPad Mini weighs 308 g and shows off the following dimensions: 200 x 134.7 x 7.2 mm.
For the hardware and OS, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite has a 1.2 GHz processor which is a dual core and it sports the PXA986 model of Marvell chipset. It supports 1GB of RAM, as well as 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card) and it runs on Android Jelly Bean.
Meanwhile, the iPad Mini also has a dual core processor (the Cortex A9) which works at 1 GHz and, as for chipset, we see the Apple A5. It comes with a 512MB of RAM with multiple options of internal storage: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB (this device doesn't offer a microSD slot, so the memory isn't expandable), and it runs on iOS 6 (upgradable to iOS 7).
For battery and camera specs, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite has a Li-Ion 3600 mAh battery, while the iPad Mini is equipped with a Li-Po 16.3 Wh battery unit. Both batteries are non-removable.
The Samsung tablet's camera is quite weak compared to the iPad Mini. the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite has only a rear camera of 2MP, while the iPad Mini has a rear camera of 5MP, and a front camera of 1.2MP.
The 16GB version of the iPad Mini cost $240.00, while the Samsung's Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is cheaper, having a $114.99 price.
