'America’s Next Top Model' Winner Sues Tyra Banks And The CW After Disqualifying Her For Escort Past

“America’s Next Top Model” judge Tyra Banks and The CW have come under fire after a former contestant of the show, Angelea Preston, alleged that the show and its host wrongfully disqualified her because of her escort past, according to TIME.

The former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant reportedly filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, claiming that although Preston had originally won cycle 17 of the show and was entitled to a $100,000 contract with Cover Girl and a spread in Vogue Italia, when it was discovered that she had previously worked as an escort, Preston was disqualified.

The lawsuit has reportedly been filed three years after Preston was eliminated from “America’s Next Top Model.” The lawsuit reportedly names both Tyra Bank and The CW and claims a breach of contract and both intentional and negligent inflicting of emotional distress, according to Contact Music.

According to the documents obtained by The Wrap, Preston reportedly claimed that her past as an escort did not break any of the show’s rules because she held the position before entering the modeling competition.

Preston also reportedly alleged that the contestants were subjected to horrible working conditions, including being on set for 12 hours straight without a break for food.

The winner of cycle 17 of the competition was fellow contestant Lisa D’Amato.

Preston is reportedly seeking at least $3 million in compensation.

41-year-old Banks reportedly didn’t immediately respond for comment.
