"It's 'Captain America: Civil War'."

When the official title for the "Captain America 3" has finally been revealed, the speculation that Spider-Man may appear in the film has started to sprout. It's every Marvel comic book fan's or Spider-Man fan's question, particularly those who are familiar with the "Civil War" story arc.

Spider-Man plays an important role in the said story arc, and cutting his part is just an option because of legal rights. Right now, Sony Pictures holds the rights to the Spider-Man franchise and Marvel could settle it for a possible crossover or to ask the studio to give back the rights to Marvel.

But that is not easy, considering that Sony has plans for the Web-crawler and that it has the "Sinister Six", which is rumored to be the soft reboot of "The Amazing Spider-Man".

Whether or not Spider-Man will appear in "Captain America 3: Civil War", Marvel has its Plan B (or A since it seems it was the original plan, which to give the huge part to Black Panther) for the film in case it can't bring the Web-crawler on board.

In a recent leaked document being released in bits by bits by a group who hacked Sony's, the talk between Sony and Marvel seems not leading to having Spider-Man in the third sequel of "Captain America". In "Sony Hack", Amy Pascal questioned how the Web-slinger fit into the long-term plan of Marvel, saying "I love introducing PP [Peter Parker] in cap ['Captain America 3: Civil War'], but I know it comes with so many things, since we won't give them what they want, what will we give them? We can say it's a cameo, but I'll bet it's more and will involve some of his world and it will be Peter and Spidey night."

Pascal makes scene. If Marvel would only be responsible for the creative vision and Sony retains the creative rights and marketing distribution or if Sony would only allow crossover, the plans for the antihero film "Sinister Six" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" might change.

Until the two confirmed that deals have been going on between the studios, the Spider-Man (and other Marvel character) crossover remains a rumor.
