Floyd Mayweather Jr. Calls Manny Pacquiao For The Biggest Bout Since Ali-Frazier 'Fight Of The Century'

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Recent reports say that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to take on Manny Pacquiao and a suggested date would May 2. However, Mayweather made things a little complicated by saying that Pacquiao shouldn't expect to make as much as Mayweather for the fght.

This is the first time Floyd Mayweather Jr. has called for a fight between him and Pacquiao.

The NYDailyNews reports, "Manny Pacquiao wants Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants Manny Pacquiao. It's the bromance of our time, the super-fight that's been dangled in front of fans for years. And of late, the two superstars are speaking as if they really, really want this dance to happen this time. Of course, they've been circling each other for years only to deprive the sport of the era's signature match because of ego and contract demands."

Mayweather's latest beckoning came while at a boxing card promoted by the boxer in San Anotio. It was then that Mayweather announced the date May 2 for a possible fight with Pacquiao.

"You lost twice and now you're coming back begging for the same money?" Mayweather was quoted as saying in the NYDailyNews report. "That's not gonna happen."

He continued to say, "Floyd Mayweather is not ducking or dodging any opponent," adding, "Bob Arum (Pacquiao's agent) is stopping the fight. We have been trying to make this fight happen for many years behind the scene."

Floyd Mayweather has been dubbed boxin's ultimate control freak and the WBC welterweight champ says he 'absolutely' what has been categorized as the most anticipated sport fixtures. However, he wants it to be on show time at the MGM Garden Arena on May 2.

This could be the most watched event in boxing since 1971 when Ali and Frazier fought at the Madison Square Garden in a fight that was termed the 'fight of the century.'
