What should we look forward to for tonight's midseason finale episode and the rest of this first season? Warning: spoilers ahead!
The A.V. Club chooses tonight's midseason finale of "Jane The Virgin" as its top pick for Monday night TV, explaining "It feels like Jane The Virgin (starring Golden Globe nominee Gina Rodriguez!) only just entered our lives, but here we are at the midseason finale, and damn a lot has happened on this show so far. This week, Petra crashes one of Jane's doctor appointments to try to claim she has some right to the baby. Poor Petra is truly running out of options, but this move doesn't really seem like it could go anywhere. Michael is still hung up on Jane, and his partner is all "dude, you need to move on," and we kind of agree here at What's On Tonight, not because we're necessarily taking sides on the whole Team Michael vs. Team Rafael front, but because what's important to us is what Jane wants. And right now, it seems like she really wants Rafael, even if he freaked out a bit about the virgin reveal last week. It looks like Michael might be starting to think that Rafael could be Sin Rostro? Or at least is hiding something. What's On Tonight doesn't really think Rafael is smart enough to be Sin Rostro (sorry), so our money is on Abuela or Rogelio's stepdaughters or Rose. If it's the latter, that would at least (partially) explain why she turned into the red-headed devil last week by betraying Luisa in quite possibly the worst way imaginable. Speaking of Luisa, we're worried about her, even more so than when she was missing for so many weeks."

According to KpopStarz, "Things are heating up for Jane and Rafael's relationship but danger lies around the corrner, according to the "Jane the Virgin" chapter nine spoilers. Paulina Rubio will guest star in episode 9. In the last episode, according to Examiner, Rafael finally knew that the mother of his child is still a virgin. That information shocked him to the core and so he went out for a drink and soon ended up in the bed with a woman he met at a bar.
"Jane found Rafael in a compromising situation. Fans thought it was over before it really even started for Rafael and Jane. Then the woman, who was actually hired to drug Rafael, confessed to Jane," it said.
It seems everything is forgiven as the sneak peak releaed by the network shows Jane and Rafael about to kiss. But Michael is not about to give up on Jane just yet. Meanwhile, Jane and Rafael will have to protect the baby from Petra who has a shocker secret of her own. "Jane the Virgin" chapter 9 spoilers are revealed through the synopsis which reads: Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni) are both concerned about Petra's (Yael Grobglas) true intentions with the baby, especially after they discover one of her shocking secrets. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is nominated again for a Best Actor award and invites Jane, Alba (Ivonne Coll) and Xo (Andrea Navedo) to attend the show with him. Xo is about to give up on her dreams, but when she meets her ultimate idol, Paulina Rubio, she has a change of heart. Meanwhile, Michael (Brett Dier) unveils a huge clue in his ongoing investigation." This particular episode is directed by Zetna Fuentes and written by Corinne Brinkerhoff."
