Tech blog WinBeta and The Verge's Tom Warren are known for their news on Windows releases and share Windows 10 News about the early '9901' build.

The Verge has displayed a few screenshots of the app on its website, which describes the app as a window into the "entire Xbox ecosystem"-achievements, friends lists, activity feeds, etc."

Windows 10 News: Microsoft Xbox App Chief Phil Spencer has been saying, 'Let's talk about Windows gaming.' This could mean a move toward PC gaming, since 'gaming on windows 10' reveals everything about Xbox. But analysts are expecting for more planned ahead of release. The preview of the latest build is slated near January 21, when consumers will be briefed on more information on gaming.

Spencer has maintained that PC is 'incredibly important' in its link to gaming. He reiterated back in September that one of his primary tasks was to "bring back our focus" to Windows 10 News: Microsoft Xbox App. This is after Spencer admitted that Microsoft had deviated from PC gaming and that he hoped to bring the focus back to MSFT.

Gamespot shared, "We took gaming very seriously on Windows a while ago," he said at the time. "I'll say we, during the [release of the Xbox], we were kind of distributed in what we were thinking about as we were launching Xbox. I'm really committed to us getting back to supporting both Xbox as much as we ever have, and also PC."

Another feature in Windows 10 that's brand new is Cortana, dubbed 'Microsoft's Siri.'

Microsoft 10 will also carry a Start Menu that merges the classic menu from earlier Windows formats with tiled modern UI interface.
