The Hobbit Trilogy finally comes to a close with "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies."

The movie was met with excited fans as it debuted in several countries. Although the movie has not yet premiered in the US, it already has racked an impressive $117.6M at the worldwide box office this weekend.
As The Guardian reported, "The total from 38 countries compares favourably to the $135.4m taken by previous instalment The Desolation of Smaug this time last year, the latter film having opened in 49 countries. Jackson's earlier film went on to take more than $958m at the global box office, with its predecessor The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey having taken just over $1bn."

"Having reclaimed Erebor and vast treasure from the dragon Smaug, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) sacrifices friendship and honor in seeking the Arkenstone, despite Smaug's fiery wrath and desperate attempts by the Hobbit Bilbo (Martin Freeman) to make him see reason. Meanwhile, Sauron sends legions of Orcs in a sneak attack upon the Lonely Mountain.
