Bad news for those waiting for the GTA Online Heists DLC release date to drop because Rockstar has allegedly delayed the launch date of the DLC following the huge info leak by DomisLive and NillxModz.
Rockstar has apologized to the delayed GTA Online Heists DLC release date in their newswire by saying:
"We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated."
"We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support. Stay tuned for more information on that as well as lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of GTA Online that are on the way."
Cyberland has reported that the GTA Online Heists DLC release date has then been changed to January 2015 instead of the reported December 23 release date.
Fans have speculated that the delay is not actually Rockstar working on the DLC but by punishing the hackers for revealing some huge information about the Heists DLC.
As noted by Vinod Yalurgi of IBTimes, these are some of the details that leaked about the GTA Online Heists DLC:
-The DLC will include Heist (Planning Board) layout update for both high-end apartment interiors, which will be available across all gaming platforms (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC).
-Brand New Heist selection menu featuring its own social-club based leaderboard and misc options showing the list of uncompleted Heist missions. This feature will be accessible across both current-gen and last-gen consoles as well as the PC version.
-34 texture modifications to four different locations, which will enhance the visual effects during Heist missions. Though this feature is available across all gaming platforms, the current-gen consoles and PC will see some improved texture details and visual enhancements over the last-gen gaming platforms.
-Six Heist missions will be available through four unique locations.
-Five Cops and Crooks missions in four unique locations.
-Two Cops and Crooks-themed masks, which are exclusively limited to current-gen consoles and PC version.
-BZ Gas will now be available for purchase via Ammu-Nation but can only be used in Heist missions.
