Season 7 of “The Voice” will continue on with its finale after last night’s finals featured the remaining contestants, all men, debuting their original songs that will become their first records, according to People magazine.
Although the free online live stream of the highly-anticipated finale must be watched as there will reportedly be performances by Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, Mark Ronson, Jennifer Hudson, Fall Out Boy, Jessie J and Lynyrd Skynyrd, “The Voice” contestant Matt McAndrew may have already swept the competition by garnering the most fans with his first single, “Wasted Love.”
“Wasted Love” is reportedly the No. 1 iTunes download and the most-clicked YouTube video out of “The Voice” season 7 contestants, according to USA Today.
Adam Levine has reportedly praised McAndrew’s versatility as the contestant finished off the night with his rendition of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” McAndrew’s “Wasted Love” performance was also the highlight of the night.
“I completely got lost in the performance,” judge Gwen Stefani stated.
Levine added, “Matt McAndrew just sang his own song. It’s one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in my life. I know all the words already.”
