Obama Health Care Plan 2014 Adopts Mariah Carey Lyrics, 'All I Want For Christmas Is For You To Sign Up For (Obamacare)
Obama Health Care Plan 2014 is turning to Mariah Carey's popular Christmas Song, 'All I Want for Christmas is you,' to plug President Obama's health insurance for America. When President Obama appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, the host reportedly sang lyrics, "I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know. Make my wish come true, baby, all I want for Christmas..."
"... is for you to sign up for healthcare at healthcare.gov," Obama completed the lyrics without singing, reported Breitbart.com.
While the holiday hit adds a bit of nostalgia to Obama's insurance proposal, some reports say that it is unlikely that Obamacare will hit targets. With December 15 being the deadline for reenrolling for coverage on January 1.
President Obama was speaking on the On Air With Ryan Seacrest show Monday when the President joked about Seacrest's singing abilities commenting that the host should stick to the radio show and not try to be a musician.
Obama told reporters that the healthcare.gov website, "works flawlessly," with some "good deals" for Americans. Seacrest and President Obama ended the show with the holiday jingle from Mariah Carey: "all I want for Christmas..." adding, "... is for you to sign up for healthcare at healthcare.gov
Seacrest is another Hollywood actor promoting Obamacare without using it himself. The Rasmussen Reports poll say 78 percent of all American voters are content on their current insurance plan. Currently, 6.7 millon individuals are on the Affordable Care Act, and the rest are happy with the quality of their health care outside of Obamacare. A switch by these individuals to Obamacare is unlikely in the near future.
