The "Assassin’s Creed" game has been released in many different settings based on actual historical references. Since most of which took place during in Europe and America, gamers are looking forward to Ubisoft making another one with a more Oriental setting.

Alex Hutchinson, the creative director behind the success of "Far Cry 4" and AC3, told Total Xbox that the idea of the "Assassin’s Creed" sequel taking place in Japan may be difficult at the moment since most gamers are already quite familiar with the setting.

"Feudal Japan would work as an Assassin's game, for sure, but I feel like it would start to look like 'oh, have I played this?' You know what I mean - 'oh, I've been a ninja before, I've been a samurai before'."

He added that if he were to direct the next AC game, the franchise would more likely explore India during the mid-19th to mid-20th century, the time when Britain famously ruled the subcontinent.

Right now, Ubisoft is working on a minor "Assassin’s Creed" game that is set in China, which may be called "Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China." They say that the game will become available for digital download. However, they didn’t give any date on when it is going to be released.

Desperate gamers and AC fans who wanted to get the feel of the game with an East Asian setting, there is this one game called “Hunter Blade”, which is said to be a rip-off of the Assassin’s Creed franchise according to Rocket News. The game is also said to take place during the Sino-Japanese war, making it the closest alternative.

The idea of the series for exploring significant highlights in history is an exciting experience. While some have gone through every game of the "Assassin’s Creed" franchise, fans still couldn’t wait to fulfill its promise to release an East Asia-based story of the game in the future.
