"How to Get Away with Murder" spoilers and news reveal the guesting of an Emmy winner as the series leads TV nominees for the NAACP.
A report from TVLine said that Cicely Tyson will guest star in the ABC hit.
"As of now, Tyson is only booked for one episode," the spoilers for "How To Get Away with Murder" said. "The network remained tight-lipped regarding details about her character. (Could she be the mother of Viola Davis' hard-charging defense attorney Annalise Keating? We can but hope!)"
Earlier, the TVLine reported that Marcia Gay Harden of "Trophy Wife" was added to the series.
"While the network declined to give details about Harden's character, it noted that her stint on the Viola Davis drama will begin after the show's mid-winter break," TVLine noted.
Meanwhile, The Wrap reported that "How To Get Away with Murder" led the list of nominees for the 46th NAACP Image Awards to be aired on February 6, 2015. The list was announced on Tuesday in a press conference at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California.
"ABC and Lifetime lead the nominees in the television category, with both "Scandal" and "How to Get Away With Murder" receiving multiple nominations, including Best Actress in a Drama recognition for both Kerry Washington and Viola Davis," the site reported.
"How to Get Away with Murder" received nods for Oustanding Drama Series; Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for Viola Davis; Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Alfred Enoch; and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Aja Naomi King.
