Angelina Jolie believed in her “Unbroken” leading man Jack O’ Connell, which is why she cast him in her film about Olympic track star and American hero Louis Zamperini.
Although many people may not have known about the 24-year-old British actor until they watched the “Unbroken” trailer, Jack O’ Connell has been acting for several years now.
O’Connell was best known for his role as bad boy James Cook in the British TV series “Skins” and has played supporting roles on the small screen as well as several movies, including “This Is England.” However, 2014 was THE year for Jack O’Connell, who landed roles not only as the star of “Unbroken” but also in “’71” and “300: Rise of an Empire.”
We learned that Jack O’Connell is the actor to look for in 2015 and the coming years while the actor had the opportunity to learn about how to become an even more glorious human through his experience on “Unbroken,” which was directed by Angelina Jolie and written by Joel and Ethan Cohen.
“Angelina had a great quote. She said if she ever wakes up in the morning and starts thinking about herself and her priorities, it pisses her off. I didn’t realize just how ugly selfishness actually is, and there’s a lot of it in society today,” explained O’Connell, according to Deadline.
He added, “I don’t think I’m going to change anything there. All I can do is hope my example might inspire others, and I certainly learnt a lot of it from Louis. I think life is probably pointless if there isn’t an element of devotion somewhere. I hope to achieve that now going forward.”
A new trailer for the movie “’71” trailer has been released.
