If new rumors are true, it looks like fans of Spidey won't get to see their favorites- Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone- together on screen for the next movie.

Previous reports hinted that a resurrection of some sort will happen to Gwen Stacey as Peter Parker's lady love wiill be brought back to life in a form of a clone created by the next flick's villain- The Jackal.

The speculation which made its rounds on the interweb is based on a similar comic book plot. No official confirmation has been made about the said possibility.

However, new reports have started to point out that Andrew Garfield could not be asked to reprise his role. That is if Marvel decides to take from Sony the production of "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise.

As iO9 reported, "New rumours surrounding Sony say that any potential deal between them and Marvel for Spider-Man movies á la MCU would see the end of Andrew Garfield's time as Peter Parker."

"The other sad part of this is that what Marvel are purportedly looking for, according to Latino Review, sounds like the kind of situation Garfield's take on the character is in post TASM 2: An already established Spider-Man without a romantic situation being the biggest focus of his life (thanks to the other best part of the Amazing Reboot, Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy shuffling off the movie's mortal coil at the climax of of the film - at the cost of a more interesting film, to boot)."

Known for their notoriously tight-lipped relationship, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone has tickled everyone's fancy by keeping things on the down low. No wonder people are crazy to know a little bit more about them.

In an interview with E! News, Andrew explained why he and Emma choose not to talk about each other with the press.

"I understand why people are interested in the personal lives of people who are in public more than those that aren't. I do understand that. I have a deep understanding of that. Just for me, it's not something that I...I don't want it in my life, so I do everything I can to deflect it and say no to it, because I think people forget that, 'Oh, this is my life, and this is your life, and that's your life'"

"Sometimes then you just have to disappoint people and say, 'Well, no. No thank you. Thank you for asking and thank you for your interest and no.'" he added.
