Android Lollipop Release Update: Nexus Rollout Delays, Update 5.1 To Fix 'Outstanding Bugs' Piggybacked On Lollipop

Android Lollipop Release Update. A number of reports are covering the Android Lollipop Release Update online. Google's Android updates until now have fared poorly and the Android 5 aka Android L is meant to assure users that Android is still the user-friendly platform, regardless of Apple's OS touted for its heightened engineering and design.

But that's not all. It turns out Android Lollipop is not bug free. While Android KitKat users were hoping to get a bug fix with the Lollipop, they will have to wait to update to Android 5.1 to fix bugs on the Android 5.

The prominent features of Android Lollipop include enhanced speed, a lighter battery and overall a more efficient platform. Like all Android updates, Android 5 will experience some delays unless you're ready to buy the full Nexus package that comes with the Lollipop. Apparently Nexus devices will be the first to get the Lollipop and the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 are the most recent Nexus devices. Google is also notorious for releasing specific handsets with updates, and analysts speculate a Nexus 6 and Nexus 8 forthcoming in the near future.

So, when can you expect to get the Android Release? It turns out Google is doing some final polishing ahead of the Android Lollipop release date. Now analysts are asking the question if it is better to get the Android 5 on your device or deal with the 'outstanding bugs' piggybacked on the highly anticipated Lollipop.

"On the other hand, that does seem to be the point of the Android L developer preview, so Google really should have all this bug fixing business sorted out by now. Hopefully Google will get its bug fixes finished soon and start rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update OTA for us Nexus owners who have been waiting impatiently since Google I/O," iDigital Times reports.
