Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a 2D platformer that cost $20 USD in North America.

The HD character portraits from Mega Man developer Inti Creates are included in the Wii U version. This has multiple endings, support for the Classic Controller Pro, unlockable Pirate Mode and Wii U Pro Controller. The game also helps the Off-TV Play, permitting gamers to play on the Wii U GamePad.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is the third installment in the Game Boy Color series, which started in 2002. This game starts the conclusion of the story arc, on the other hand, the game serves the first time players. It is easy to go in cold, with none about the past games.

Shantae came down from Genies, however, is half-human. She protects a few fishing village called Scuttle Town from pirates, utilizing what magic she has for different heroism acts.

In previous version of the game, Shantae's magical powers were stolen and she is trying to survive without them. Risky Boots, a villainous pirate emerges and offer Shantae a deal she can't decline, and soon enough the two are sailing for adventure to find the magical powers that will spare the world from the Pirate Master, Risky's ghostly boss.

The gameplay is the same as Castlevania or Metroid, with Shantae striking the asses of the enemies with her long hair and placing pirate-based upgrades. Soon she will be firing using a flintlock pistol, launching herself into the air on a huge canon, gliding on a giant hat that Shantae is like the Parodius of the Castlevania series, which kind of makes sense.

On with a brand new journey with Shantae, the ability of her hair to whip enemies of the belly dancing genie. She loses her magic, cooperated with her nemesis, the pirate Risky Boots so that to defend Sequin Land from the evil master pirate. Being a pirate, Shantae gets new tools and weapons to move on to her journey, kill monsters and fight epic masters, hopefully regain her magic back in the game! Can she really trust her most deadly enemy?
